Environments designed to capture the imagination of children, the Stepping Stones Museum for Children expanded their footprint to provide new programs for their visitors and members. A LEED Gold Certified project, the site provides a variety of activities, while continuing to serve the infrastructure needs of the site. Rain gardens polish stormwater and plants bring varied textures, colors and habitats for sensorial experiences to the children. An herb garden oasis brings the treasure of the garden directly to the visitor, so they ultimately have a greater understanding; keen awareness and deeper appreciation of the value of our environment.
