Started as an idea by Aris Land Studio during COVID lockdown, stars aligned and People’s Bank sought to renovate the plaza for their headquarters. Originally designed by Architect Richard Meier, the plaza required a new connection to nature, and humanization of the urban space. Summer months were a flurry of activity for review of plans by leaders of the bank, with quick approval to allow for construction start in late august. fall installation. Work was completed by the end of September 2021, and can expect welcome shade in the plaza next spring.
